A.C. Grayling: various paths one can take in life

This was one of the first videos we taped for standstrong.tv, before we had a proper mic, hence the subtitles. It is my aim to keep discussing various points of view concerning meaning and life, and A.C. Grayling is one of the finest philosophers and University Professors in the UK.

Favorite line: “I leap from my bed, swiftly like a thirsty cat” – a line AC recites when he describes how he would like everyone to feel about life. He also discusses his views on the limitations of traditional religion. What do you think about his views?

So brilliant. I want to be a cat.

It's been a challenge for me to try to get people to talk about anything passionate in everyday conversation. I really think the video medium brings a sense of importance to everyone you talk to and really pulls their deepest passions out of their soul. It's infinitely more striking from someone as genius as AC Grayling.

Thanks bro, I agree with you – I think video is a good medium to pull out the passion. Just went and saw Grayling speak on Altruism tonight at theRSA.org and I love how good he is at explaining complex issues with simple logic – often with smart humor.

Hopefully I can meet with him for tea to get ideas on how to present philosophy to the Gen Y crowd, I'm sure he'll have some brilliant advice.
