Nice one. I like your concept of philosophy as being the gym for the mind. Loved the clip but couldn't help thinking "Was this half way through Pacino's facelift? Why has he that lump at the corner under one eye but not the other?"

As those that know me will attest to..I'm still pushing..still recreating.

I'd like to think though that over time working smarter is on the same plane with harder.

haha, I wold guess that is because you have more life experience than me. I, admittedly, like when everything doesn't work out. I think that's what the mid/late 20's can be about, refining the focus and passion by being in a place where some things work and some don't. If everything worked how would I define the focus I need?

It's like I'm at the gym doing the bench press and keep pushing myself to pile on more weight just to see what I am capable of; however, I won't want to do that forever. Weights that symbolize professional goals, relationships, ideas etc... just to work out the major kinks/balance so that I can rest a little easier in my 30s and onward.

So yeah, I hope I don't find the urge to push so hard once I gain more of life's experience ;) - I'm betting you pushed hard like me when you were starting out?

Channeling Neitzche....not a light path to trod ;)

Generally I agree but I focus less on the struggle and more on the passion and focus.

If you are inspired and passionate and can apply the discipline of focus...then you have a formula that can push forward. The inching forward to create something new as an entrepreneur is the upside. The 'punches' just come and you move on.

Rocky was about the the gestalt of that will power. That's the process not the end result for most of us.

Thx for the clip. I see what you mean by chills.. when dialogue touches on living with passion, taking the hits to rise above, I love it. I'll take more hits as life goes on but will chose to push forward.

Does anyone really want an easy, unchallenging life? I sure don't - there's beauty in the struggle. Guess I channel some of Neitzsche - that hard obstacles and hits are required to overcome to gain true happiness.
